TOKYO, JAPAN, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Tyrone Hashimoto and His Lakeside Struttin' Band will be playing the Sometime Jazz Club on Friday October 2, 2026 at 17:30pm. The Lakeside Struttin' Band, a popular musical attraction Sometime Jazz Club, is celebrating 20 years making music together.

Hashimoto (Shunichi Suzuki) is an accomplished Japanese singer- songwriter, composer, arranger, performer, music producer, educator and voice-over talent, who has recorded 9 solo albums sung in English and has a catalog of over 600 original songs and jingles written for many of the biggest brands in the world. Hashimoto’s soul influenced original songs recorded both in Japan and the US, have given him opportunities to work with some of the best musicians and producers in the world, including the late Joe Sample, David T Walker, Leroy Bell, Bobby Watson (Rufus), and Peter Bunetta and Rick Chudacoff (Kenny G, The Temptations, Michael Bolton).

In addition to Tyrone Hashimoto, the Lakeside Struttin' Band features some of Japan's most accomplished musicians and educators.

Miho Usuda (Keys & Vocal) is a musician and educator and founding member of the Lakeside Struttin' Band, who has contributed numerous original compositions to Eco Music Colors, a program broadcast on Sky PerfecTV!. A recording artist in her own rights, Usuda album "Representation" featured her song writing talent. Her song "It's Time To Go – A New Day, A New Month" reached No. 1 on the iTunes New Age Music Chart. As a composer and producer music for visual media, Usuda actively develops projects that fuse music and visual art through innovative concert productions. Since 2014, she has directed and taught the "Miu Music Choir," a community choir program for adults. In 2024, expanding the project by launching new choir classes in Kamakura and Hamamatsu.

Mitsuhiro Ueda (Drums) is deeply inspired by the history of African-American music, and has devoted himself to pursuing the groove, feel, and "one-note" philosophy of soul and funk drumming. As a student and educator, Ueda studied under Akiyuki Higuchi at AN Music School, graduating with honors and has served as an instructor in the Drum Department at AN Music School for fifteen years. Ueda's extensive performance career includes collaborations with Masaki Ueda, SWEEP, SUPERSONICS, MIREI TOUYAMA, YOKE a.k.a. DJREDBLOOD, mic.b a.k.a. 73Pike Set, Dario Ponissi, Darek Jackson, and many others. He also performed in the musical The Big Ladies Club, starring Kumiko Mori. Since 2007, he has been adrummer for Yuka Kamebuchi & Voice Of Japan, earning high praise from renowned playwright and director Tetsuro Takahira. Ueda has been a member of the Lakeside Struttin' Band since 2020.

Mitsuru Kanekuni (Saxes & Flute) has been active for decades in Japan's rock, pop, and fusion music scenes, he is acclaimed as one of the rare saxophonists whose playing carries the genuine soul and energy of rock. Kanekuni began his career performing at live music venues and recording sessions and then joined the legendary rock band Creation. Kanekuni formed his own group, Euphoria, releasing three albums through Meldac record label. In 2000, he founded BeatNuts, and released the album "Power Zone" through Columbia Music Entertainment. Kanekuni has peformed and recorded with numerous artists, including Ryudo-gumi and Southern All Stars and the Stanley Clarke Trio (featuringLenny White and Hiromi Uehara) at Blue Note Tokyo
and Bunkamura Orchard Hall.
